GED/ High School Diploma Our GED classroom training class prepares customers for the Maryland High School
Equivalency Diploma administered by the Maryland State Department of Education. Customers are tested before enrollment to
determine the appropriate course placement. The test assessments allow measurement of basic knowledge and educational improvements
necessary to pass the State exam. Participants must obtain a specified level of education in required courses in order
to enroll in the GED preparation program.
Computer Training Our computer training classes offer workshops in basic, intermediate, and advanced
computer training. In addition, we offer certification training in Microsoft Suite. Customers must obtain a level of computer
proficiency in order to enter the certification program.
Workplace SpanishWe have added a new Conversational Spanish workshop to our educational programs. Participants are taught words, numbers,
sentences, phrases, and how to communicate with Spanish speaking people.
Financial Literacy The financial literacy program teaches participants how to (1) develop a personal budget; (2) establish and repair credit; (3) understand their paycheck and deductions;
and (4) understanding finance.
Entrepreneurial Training Participants develop a business plan and learn how to start and operate a business.
